Virginia June Siegfried, 97, of Odessa, Missouri died on Monday, April 24, 2017, at New Haven Living Center in Odessa, Missouri.

Born Monday, June 16, 1919 in Corder, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Homer Herbert Seuser and the late Nora Anna Ehlert Seuser.

Mrs. Siegfried lived most of her life in Higginsville, Missouri. She married Fred Siegfried on June 19, 1943, he preceded her in death on November 23, 2001. She was a homemaker and an active member of Grace United Methodist Church and several organizations such as the Women's Circle at the church, VFW Women's Auxiliary, and a Cub Scout leader at the Higginsville Habilitation Center. June loved gardening and was known for her excellent cooking and baking skills, particularly her homemade pies.

In addition to her husband, also preceded in death were two brothers, Delbert Warren Seuser and Fred Wallace Seuser and two sisters, Nora Beth Seuser and Mary Anna Seuser.

Surviving is son, David Siegfried of Sioux Falls, SD and daughter, Cheryl (Danny) Sattler of Cole Camp, MO; 6 grandchildren, Danny (Tina) Sattler II, Susie (John) Cantrell, Donnie (Stefanie) Sattler, Darla (Dan) Gottschalk, David F. Siegfried, Jr., and Dan (Lesley) Siegfried and 10 great grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Friday at Hoefer Chapel located at 1600 Main St. Higginsville, Missouri 64037 with Rev. Mary Biesemeyer officiating. Music will be provided by Sharon Pragman, organist, Kirsten Sattler, violinist and John Cantrell, vocalist. Interment will be in Higginsville City Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Grace United Methodist Church or to the St. Louis Methodist Children's Home.
