Susan Christine Dye, 61 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Friday, May 20, 2016, at her home.

Born Sunday, August 22, 1954 in Yakima, Washington. She was the daughter of the late Joe Rhoton and the late Phyllis Rhoton. She married John D. Dye, Jr. on September 26, 1987.

Susan lived most of her life in Higginsville. She graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1972. She was a member of the Quilters Guild of Higginsville. She worked for the IRS in Kansas City, MO and was also co-owner of Dye Auto and Diesel Repair.

Surviving are her husband John; one son, Kenneth (Ashley) Anderson ll of Paola, KS; one daughter, Theresa Anderson of Higginsville, MO; one brother, Tom Coke of Marshall, MO; 6 grandchildren, Laura Anderson, Brooke Anderson, Bryce Anderson, Brenna Anderson, Brayden Anderson and Aayden Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Brad Coke.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Hoefer Chapel with Rev. Gilbert Walker officiating. Interment will be in the City Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Hoefer Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Lafayette County Cancer Coalition.

Casket bearers are Vinny Thompson, Stan Roepe, Larry Schieber, Robert Gremmel, Kevin Clouse and Terry McCormick. Honorary casket bearers are Kenneth Buchanan and Dennis Knipmeyer.
