Shirley Ann Bedford, 70 of Blue Springs, Missouri died on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.

Born Friday, June 27, 1947 in Higgijnsville, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Ewald Krause and the late Gertha Dryer Krause. She married Charles F. Bedford, Jr. on September 12, 1965 and he survives of the home.

She lived most of her life in Blue Springs, MO. She was a graduate of Higginsville High School, Class of 1965. She was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church, member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #499. She was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police. She was a dispatcher for the Jackson County Sheriff's Department for 27 years, retiring in 2009.

Surviving are her husband, Charles; one son, Trevor (Mindi) Bedford of Kansas City, MO. Memorial contributions may be sent to Fraternal Order of Police or the Timothy Lutheran Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Dorothy Goetz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017, 11:00 AM at Timothy Lutheran Church in Blue Springs, MO with Pastor John Otte officiating.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Suggested memorials are to Fraternal Order of Police or Timothy Lutheran Church.
