Sandra S. Walker, 77 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at North Care Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.

Born Sunday, November 26, 1939 in Pattonsburg, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Charles Salmon and the late Nora Savage Salmon.

She lived most of her life in Overland Park, KS. She married Ralph W. Walker on February 22, 1956. They moved to Harlingen TX and moved to Higginsville in 2012.. Ralph preceded her in death on August 20, 2013.

Sandra was a secretary for the Missouri Department of Agriculture, she retired n 1997. She belonged to the Happy Hookers Crochet Club and the local Widows Club.

Surviving are one son, Timothy Lee Walker of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter, Catherine Walker of Higginsville, MO; one brother, Glen (Sue) Salmon of Ponca City, OK; three grandchildren, Jessie (Corianne) Davis, Kyle (Kim) Davis and Amber Soto; two great grandchildren.

Besides her husband Sandra is preceded in death by one brother, Darryl Salmon and one sister, Betty Hurd.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday at Hoefer Chapel with Dr. Greg Fine officiating. Interment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Hoefer Funeral Home. Suggested memorial contributions may be sent to American Heart Association ,

Casket bearers are Kyle Davis, Amber Soto, Glen Salmon, Jesse Davis, Greg Ball and Tim Walker..
