Mary K. Elmore, 60 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington, Missouri.

Born Tuesday, May 21, 1957 in Lexington, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Martin L. Elmore, Jr. and Minnie Williams Elmore.

She was a graduate of Lafayette Co. C-1 Class of 1975 and a lifelong resident of Higginsville.

She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church serving as a financial secretary, trustee, and choir member. She was also a member of the Higginsville Business Women's Association.

She worked as an assistant ceramic teacher for the Higginsville Habilitation Center retiring in 2012. Then she volunteered for Ms. Tricie's Little Angels daycare center.

Surviving are her mother, Minnie Elmore; three brothers, Marvin Elmore, Sr. of Enid, OK, Michael (Becky) Elmore, Sr. of Higginsville and Donald (Valesita) Elmore of Warrensburg, MO; three sisters, Patricia Lewis-Elmore of Blue Springs, MO, Janice Elmore of Independence, MO and Sharice (Scott) Oliver of Kansas City, MO.

She was preceded in death by her father, Martin L. Elmore, Jr.and one brother, Martin L. Elmore, III.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Higginsville with the Rev. Wilbur Conway officiating, Dustin Gilmore pianist, and Rev. Evelyn Elmore vocalist. Interment will be in Mt Muncie Cemetery, Higginsville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Hoefer Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Higginsville, MO 64037.

Casket bearers are Donald Elmore, Michael L. Elmore, Sr. Marvin L. Elmore, Sr.,, Chris Williams, Darius Elmore, Marvin Elmore, Jr. and Michael Elmore, Jr. Honorary bearers are her Uncles.
