James E. Nuelle, 95 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at his home.

Born Tuesday, October 18, 1921 in Lexington, Missouri, he was the son of the late Henry Nuelle and the late Irene Welch Nuelle.

He served as a Staff Sgt. in the Army Air Corps from 1942 until 1945. He was a Veteran of World War II, He was a mailman for the US Postal Service, retiring in January 1985.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Post #223

Surviving are one son, Edward (Patty) Nuelle of Grain Valley, MO; two daughters, Patty Kroll of Grain Valley, MO and Cindy Nuelle of Higginsville; four grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.,

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Charles Nuelle; two sisters, Rosemary Zacha and Dorothy Goodloe.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at St. Mary's Church.. Interment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Casket bearers are Dillon Schroeder, Derek Kroll, Blake Carminucci, Brad Bayless, Mike Schroeder and Kevin Goodloe.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Monday, January 16, 2017, at Hoefer Funeral Home, Rosary service at 7:30 PM. Family suggest memorials to the Higginsville Senior Center or American Legion Post #223.
