Grace Knipmeyer, 90 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, Missouri.

Born Tuesday, January 26, 1926 in Woodlawn, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late James Harrison and the late Alva Delaney Harrison. She married Calvin Benjamin Knipmeyer on August 7, 1955 and he preceded her in death on July 27, 2008.

Grace received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Truman State University, a B.S. in Home Economics from Missouri University and taught for ten years in various states.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Kay Tuttle of Higginsville; one brother, Elton L. Morgan of Holliday, MO; three sisters, Kathryn Slaton of Shelbina, MO, Flemma Unterbrink of Madison, MO and Martha (Larry) West of Bellvue, NE; two granddaughters Laura (Jacob) Ward and Jamie (Jonathon) Clark; one great granddaughter Elizabeth Grace Ward.

She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin; one brother Poole Harrison, two sisters, Mary Slaton and Elizabeth Green; one grandson, Joseph Tuttle and one granddaughter, Sara K. Tuttle Inman.

A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Cook officiating, Rev. Mary Biesemeyer assisting, Sharon Pragman, organist and Aaron Knipmeyer, vocalist. Interment will be in City Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Grace United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Grace United Methodist Church.

Casket bearers are James Green, Tracy Morgan, Craig Morgan, Charles Unterbrink, Paul Unterbrink, Joe West , Dwight Ritter, James Slaton and Ted Harrison
