Deloras L. Hook, 88 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at her home. Born on Monday, April 2, 1928 in Higginsville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Conzelman and the late Emma Meinershagen Conzelman.

She was a lifelong resident of Higginsville. She married C.W. Hook on September 12, 1948 and he survives of the home.

Deloras was a member of Salem United Church of Christ where she was involved in the Women's Fellowship of the church, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a 4-H leader for 25 years. She was a homemaker and worked for a while as the receptionist at the Higginsville Animal Clinic.

Surviving are her husband C.W. of the home; one son, Mark Hook of Higginsville; one daughter, Kristine Gray of Pleasant Hill, MO; two grandchildren, Michelle Kelly and David Pfefer; two great grandchildren, Izabella Kelley and Aurora Kelley.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Michael and Carl Arthur Hook and one brother, Kenneth Conzelman.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Salem United Church of Christ with the Rev. Dr. Tommy L. Faris officiating, Jamie Smith pianist and Kristine Gray vocalist. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Higginsville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Hoefer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to Salem U.C.C. Memorial Fund or Youth on Mission Fund.

Casket bearers are Richard Specker, Larry McFerrin, Steve Varner, Phillip Varner, David Pfefer and Terry Stevens.
